Meghan Murtaugh, CAT-LP

Meghan is a Creative Arts Therapist and 200-hour certified yoga teacher who fosters a warm, welcoming space, where clients can feel safe exploring their emotions and life experiences in a creative way. Meghan specializes in treating adolescents and adults with eating disorders, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and trauma. She uses an eclectic approach, utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and somatic techniques. Meghan’s work also focuses on helping clients build upon coping skills for emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. Meghan blends traditional talk therapy and creative arts therapy within her sessions, where she compassionately guides clients to transform their experience through the art making process. Meghan believes that creative expression can initiate transformation, where one may experience relief from overwhelming emotions, challenging thoughts, and trauma. Meghan recognizes the privilege it is to witness clients, grow, heal, overcome challenges in their life, and embrace their authentic self.
